Caroline Hjelt, one half of Swedish electronic duo Icona Pop, shot during the 2014 Way Out West festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. “This was my first international commission for Pitchfork—and a challenging one. Due to the festival’s multiple venues, my first day was chaotic, and I didn’t get much work done, but I caught up quickly, and, thanks to the help of Pitchfork’s photo editor Erik Sanchez, shooting the rest of the festival went on track. This is the photo essay that I’m most proud of.”
