“We designed a print for Marimekko called Kaiaka, which means ‘shadowed sea’ in Hawaiian. It can be found on three items—a dress, a shirt and a skirt—in the Marimekko autumn/winter 2012 collection. The styles are all designed by Mai Ohta, an in-house designer at Marimekko. The fabric is cotton satin, printed on rotary press beds at Marimekko’s factory in Finland.”
