Sourcebook ad, Russell's Letter. Dialogue: The Fine Art of Conversation in which artists were requested to find and illustrate any letter, note or piece of written correspondence of their choice. I chose a letter written to me in 1994 by a NYC cab driver who discovered my then lost sketchbook in his car. After returning the sketchbook to me, Russell and I began a series of letter exchanges. In his final letter, he reveals that he is in fact the Messiah and that he expects contact soon. Every word in this picture is taken from Russell's final letter; a truly bizarre yet intriguing piece of text that begged to be illustrated." 14 x 7, mixed media.
