“Wrinkles is a personal undertaking in which I dealt with the subject of wrinkles in the broadest sense. I was particularly interested in how skin folds reflect the life lived and how it changes the appearance of a person, which I do not consider as being something negative. For the prints, I used different materials with structures similar to the wrinkles in human beings; these have been deep-drawn in a special process with plastic on the surface. This is how I created my printing stereotype, which I then used to print by hand with gravure printing and relief printing techniques. The 105 prints in Wrinkles are arranged chronologically, like a journal; I reinforced the journal theme with a monospace font.”
