Underworld. "Every austral summer millions of Chinstrap Penguins arrive on the South Sandwich Islands to breed. Spending seven months at sea, they spend the next five here—1,000 miles north of Antarctica. Zavodovski Island hosts the largest penguin colony on Earth—two million pairs of Chinstraps. Discovered by Captain Cook in 1775, the islands are characterized by rough seas, storms, icebergs and glaciers. They remind us of Cook's world, a time when all the Earth was brimming with wildlife."
