"This painting was for a historical fiction piece called 'The Star and Rockets.' Joe Bauman played for the minor league team the Roswell Rockets throughout the 1950s. His stats magically jumped for only one year—1954—which incidentally was the same year as the supposed alien landing in Roswell. In his freak 'break-out' year; he hit 35 doubles, 3 triples, and 72 home runs, the latter being a record that stood throughout pro ball until it was finally topped in 2001 by Barry Bonds."
