"Photographer Erika Larsen lived with and lovingly documented the Sami, a semi-nomadic people located mostly in northern Norway and Sweden, as they follow reindeer herds across the tundra. Dependent on the animals for their food, clothing and livelihoods, the Sami are practical and also spiritually attuned to the reindeer. As the Sami struggle to preserve their culture, Larsen captured their beauty in brilliant color, moving portraits and otherworldly landscapes."
