“Special-edition cover for Popular Mechanics about the movie The Martian. Ridley Scott was the guest editor for the issue. I wanted to create an image that was influenced by all of the great old Popular Mechanics covers. The builds of Matt Damon’s space suit and the Mars buggy were tough because I only had a few stills from the set to work from, and we were trying to get it all as accurate as possible.”
