"To accompany a review of Philip Roth's 2008 novel, Exit Ghost, the art director Jason Treat wanted a portrait as well as a hint of an allusion to the title. I've done several drawings of Roth, for different publications, and I get a little closer each time. I'm hoping for another crack at him."
