Commemorative postage stamps. “On August 8, 2006, China National Philatelic Corporation issued a four-piece set of commemorative stamps titled, ‘The Games of the XXIX Olympiad–Olympic Sports,’ with a combined face value of 5.2 yuan (about 75 cents U.S.). The stamps feature the basketball, fencing, sailing and artistic gymnastics pictograms reversed from the core graphic. The background colors are Forbidden City roof tile yellow, Chinese scholar-tree green, Ming Dynasty porcelain blue and Chinese red.”
