“Nike was about to open its first-of-a-kind personalization service for the whole of India in Mumbai. We created a series of twenty illustrations to be merchandised that placed Mumbai at the thematic center. We portrayed Nike as an indispensable part of cosmopolitan daily life by incorporating it in the everyday aesthetic of our metropolis. Our illustrations feature a Mumbai from a parallel future but one that still has roots in tradition, where technology runs the show but the city retains its culture. Our color palette, in a true maximalist spirit, became vibrant and vivid to illustrate the diversity and enormity of everyday Mumbai. And, to really push our limits, we broke the conventional two-dimensional barrier and enlivened our illustrations through AR.”
