“I spent a year as an artist-in-residence at the Millbrook School, photographing the found objects that make up the Millbrook Collection. Dating back to the 1910s, it contains taxidermic mammals, birds and reptiles, various skulls, hundreds of bird nests, and 10,000 eggs from the Walcott Egg Collection. In addition to the specimens, there are letters, journal entries, newspaper clippings and other remnants from the era that enable us to look back at another time. I’m currently working on a large book of this work.”
