Unpublished. "This was my first attempt at journalistic art. I visited the men's shelter in the Bowery, New York. The homeless problem in the '80s was as bad as it is now. This was the TV room where the men were waiting for the soup kitchen to open on a bitterly cold day. I hung a point-and-shoot camera around my neck and shot without a flash. The painting was done from the photos and memory."
