Duration: Two years.
Location: Paris, France.
Education: I studied digital direction and computer graphics at Supinfocom and fashion business administration marketing and management at ESAFC (École Supérieure d’Art Françoise Conte).
Beginnings: When I was younger, I spent most of my spare time making drawings and craft projects with my big sister. In 2011, after studying animation, I started a blog to share my work and get feedback from others. Posting my work helped me evolve my style and improve my technique over time. Within two years, I was able to build enough of a portfolio to shop for commissioned work and an agent.
Influences: I take inspiration from photography, paintings, animated films, as well as fashion fabrics and materials. I’m drawn to bold colors and expressive styles and I follow fashion illustrators like Esra Røise from Norway and Kelly Thompson from New Zealand. I also love the sensitive and sensual body portraits created by artists Paulà Bonet and Conrad Roset.
Technique: My work is primarily digital. I use Photoshop and a graphics tablet because it allows me to quickly create the shapes and colors I have in mind.
Approach: I do a lot of portraits and I always try to create something simple, fresh and colorful with a hint of humor. I want people to smile when they see my artwork. The best return is when they ask me to do a portrait for them.
Aspirations: In five years, I want my style to be recognized in the artistic sphere, and I’d love to exhibit my work, especially the portraits. I’m also thinking of creating a line of fashion accessories. Ideally, I’ll have my own studio and gallery, where I would produce and share my graphic art mixed with fabric and fashion creations.
