"An image taken near my studio in Topanga Canyon. For this shoot, I drew inspiration from early 1980's Madness videos—music and cultural influences that offered a window to the outside world during my early teens in Palm Springs. I always loved the British Ska style—tailored with a pile of humor and quirkiness thrown in. While shooting this, I was imagining a stylish mod girl getting stuck in a small mountain town just dreaming of the day when she could finally make it to London to find the life that she was meant to lead."
