"Personal photograph from a series in Iceland. During my travels over the course of twelve days in Iceland, I had hoped to hit Jokulárlón, (Glacial River Lagoon) during the beautiful evening light. Everywhere I went turned out to be breathtaking and, as a result, I was always delayed, stopping along the way to take photos. I didn't make it to Jokulárlón until almost eleven pm that night but the lake was stunning under an almost full moon. My hands nearly froze during the twelve-fifteen minute exposures and I quickly set up camp while the shutter was open and spent the night looking out over this same view, listening to the glacial ice creaking and moaning."
