"To change perception of Hovis from being a brown bread brand (with traditional associations) into a contemporary bakery brand to compete credibly in white, brown and the morning goods areas. We used typically British sandwich fillings/toppings—baked beans, toasted cheese, eggs, tomatoes and cucumber—and covered the entire pack, thus creating an impactful and bold new brand statement."
