Duration: Since I received a manual 35mm SLR camera for my fifteenth birthday.
Staff: Just myself and crew as needed for projects.
Education: BFA in photography from Art Center College of Design and several years working as a staff photographer at a commercial photography and design studio.
Cultural Influences: Urban texture, the beauty of nature, the marvel of the human face and form. I'm a romantic at heart, inspired by music and myth, poets and painters, folk and fairytales, great novels and movies and modern life with all its contradictions.
Environment: A home office and the big wide world!
Philosophy: A favorite quote by Soren Kierkegaard becomes more true as time goes on, "Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards." Photographs are moments captured, life frozen, to be revisited again and again. I think they may just help us to understand backwards.
