Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: I’ve been working independently as a designer and illustrator for almost six years.
Staff: Mostly myself, but I love the opportunity to collaborate with friends and the occasional intern.
Education: I spent two formative years at an art school in the Pacific Northwest.
Cultural Influences: Books are probably my biggest influence. They seem to have this forever quality, and only get better with age. Also, Max Bill, Otl Aicher, Carl Sagan, radical architecture of the 1960s, ancient symbolism and mythology.
Environment: I share a Brooklyn studio housed in an old pencil factory with four very talented illustrators and designers.
Philosophy: Follow, explore, seek questions instead of answers and see what happens. I like to leave things open as long as I’m exploring and learning.
