Background: Berlin, Germany–based advertising agency Antoni is the lead European agency for Mercedes-Benz. Our site showcases the huge scope of outstanding jobs for Mercedes-Benz and Katjes—from brand design to digital to ad campaigns and more. The style of the site perfectly reflects our ambition for creative excellence. Our goal is to generate awareness for the agency and attract smart, creative talents, from all over the world.

Highlights: The design of the site is deliberately minimalist in order to better respect the video and photo work done on the different ad campaigns. The interface is simple with animations for fluid navigation. We wanted to stand out with the use of the mask on the video slider and the use of video loops.

Challenges: Creating a smooth navigation and a simple understanding for any user who comes onto the site. The important thing for us was to avoid taking over the contents with animations and transform the site into something like a Christmas tree.

Technical features: Splitting videos into slices is probably the trickiest part of this website. The only viable way to keep a constant 60 fps for such an effect is to use WebGL and GPU hardware acceleration. To do that, videos are passed as textures to a single shader, which draws them as translated slices according to different ratios.
