Right:"Traditionally, programs for award shows are stuffy and dull booklets that deal with the business of the show. But after all, aren't we in the entertainment business? Shouldn't the book be as entertaining as the show? The Video Music Awards is a venue where the only tradition is rule breaking, so the program book works to reinvent itself every year. This year we wanted to explore the rather unique relationship some fans have with the celebrities they admire, so we sent Dewey Nicks around the country to shoot how some fans blur the lines between fame and fanaticism."
