“Refinery29 asked me to create a series of images for an editorial on what 100 calories actually looks like. I worked with art director Ida Hariri and design director Ly Ngo—they wanted a pop art feel with colorful backgrounds for each featured food. The challenge was to create interesting vignettes of each food in an iconic, sculptural way so each image could stand strongly on its own. This was a fun trial-and-error effort.”
